Sunday, 20th June 2010, 11:30am
Celebrate the opening of Worthing Promenade to cyclists with a leisurely bike ride along the coastal cycle path in Worthing.

Leave from the Heene Gallery anytime between 11.30am and 12.30pm. Be sure to register at the start of the ride to be in with a chance of winning a fantastic Globe bike and also to collect your Fresh Air Miles goodies. Free ‘Dr Bike’ cycle safety check at the gallery.

The coastal cycle path allows a round trip of up to 10 miles of off-road cycling. There will be a coastal quiz which will require a ride of no more than 3 miles, but you can choose to cycle as far as you wish. Why not bring a picnic along for the day to enjoy en route? There’s a free ice cream for children at the Coast Cafe, Splash Point.

Set your own pace, but be back at Heene Gallery by 3:00pm for raffle and prizes. Cafe open at the gallery.

All are welcome and the ride is suitable for all ages and abilities so invite all your friends and family for a fun, healthy and great day out!

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult please.

This is a Bike Week event organised by Transition Town Worthing Transport Group and Sustrans.
