Wish type(s): Safety Improvement

Worthing Pier roundabout. Widen eastbound exit.

Or mark road to make it clear that cyclists should not cling to the edge of the roundabout, thus being suddenly hit by cars at the exit point.

We shouldn’t have to

We shouldn’t have to prioritise this: it should be addressed by WSCC as a matter of safety. This exit is a hazard introduced by poor design of the new roundabout. It should have been picked up by the Safety Audit, but wasn’t. It would surely have been picked up by a Cycle Audit if one had been done.

Personally not found it a problem – take the lane on the roundabout (it’s slow enough) and hold in on the exit….
